LE K2 PALACE

If you’re celebrating a landmark birthday or anniversary and love the mountains, this luxury bolthole could be for you.

Le K2 Palace in Courchevel 1850 has six ‘suite-chalets’ allowing you privacy but with access to the hotel via an interior walkway. Located in the main building is Michelin-starred Kintessence Restaurant, relaxing Goji Spa, ski shop and kids zone.

Lying on the edge of the piste, each chalet has ski-in and ski-out access along with some very luxurious touches after a day on the slopes. Spread over several floors the more exclusive properties feature their own swimming pool, hammam and even a home cinema.

The individually-named chalets are elegantly decorated with warm pops of colour and natural wood panelling. Your private sun terrace is the perfect spot to escape the world and just breathe in the mountain air and enjoy the stunning views of the Alps.

CHALET DES ÉCLÉS

If you’re a teacher, scout leader or simply have a big tribe to accommodate, why not try Chalet des Éclés? The chalet is ideally located 200 metres from the ski slopes of the pretty village of Valloire which nestles in the département of Savoie.

Made to measure for large groups, Chalet des Éclés, which belongs to scouts of France, has 28 practical rooms from single to 12 beds and thanks to their chef of 30 years everyone enjoys a hearty homemade meal after a day of activities. Each week you can tuck into a typical Savoyard meal.

Four classrooms are on site and a lift and ramps allow easy access around the chalet. You can choose from snow classes, gardening in summer and even astronomy where you can join experts from the French Association of Astronomy to peer through telescopes at the clear night sky at an altitude of 1,557 metres. Almost touching distance!
