Interhome holidays

Find your perfect French holiday rental with Interhome ADVERTISING FEATURE

France has always had an important place in the Interhome family, both as a destination and as a source market; we have over 5500 properties both in the classic destinations, but also in the lesser known regions.

If you want the hustle and bustle of the cities, then try us out in Paris, Lyon and Nice, where you’ll find a wide range of accommodations from 1-bedroom city centre apartments to large 4-bedroom houses in the suburbs, where your local boulangerie will make sure you are set up for the day with delicious croissants and pains au choc for your petit dej, not forgetting a fresh crispy baguette for lunch.

Sun lovers have so much choice with the classic Côte d’Azur offering a backdrop of fragrant pine covered hills and glassy Mediterranean blue, with delicious flavours to match, but if the tranquil waters of the Med are a little too calm, head over to Les Landes, where the ocean swell provides great surfing, and surf watching, from Biarritz to Mimisan Plage. Nowadays, it isn’t only about cutting a line through the waves, with kite-surfing growing in popularity, the sky is where the action is.

If sand isn’t your thing, France has so many alternative summer destinations, that you will definitely find something to fit your mood. The Gorges de L’Ardèche are a wonderful base camp for thousands of keen water sports enthusiasts, but my personal favourite is to head for the mountains; once the snow melts and the spring sun has worked its magic, the Alps become a fantastic playground with plenty of space for everyone. Walking trails through alpine meadows brimming with wild flowers, fresh air and crystal waters, makes this one of the best places to re-charge after a long gray winter, with a big dose of nature. Prices in the summer also go downhill when you get to the mountains, and you’ll find some excellent bargains to be had in beautiful chalets and apartments.

For many in the UK, its easier to get to France than it is to drive to Wales, with cross-channel ferries and the Eurostar providing very efficient access, and there is one region of France that really offers a super mix of culture, history and gastronomy that should be on everybody’s to-do list, and that is Normandy. Forever intertwined in the history of the United Kingdom since the battle of Hastings in 1066, Normandy also provided one of the backdrops for one of the 20th century’s greatest military interventions, the D-Day invasions; add the amazing Mont-Saint-Michel, Rouen and Honfleur, mix in an abundance of cheeses and you have a heady recipe for success.

Interhome guests can rely on us to provide them with great choice in France’s key destinations, and unlike many others in the holiday rentals space, we provide service offices in a large number of our destinations (over 200) as well as a 24/7 operations and sales office with guaranteed English speakers around the clock.
