On March 21st the Goût de France/Good France event will celebrate French gastronomy around the world. Over 1,500 chefs across the five continents will be serving French dishes simultaneously to honour French cuisine. Here are a few of the restaurants in Britain that will be taking part

Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester, London

Chef Jean-Philippe Blondet will be serving a gourmet French menu in the three Michelin star London restaurant with wines to match chosen by Head Sommelier Christopher Bothwell. £260 per person

Park House, Cardiff

Award-winning restaurant Park House is in a stunning Gothic style mansion house in Cardiff’s old district. Chef Andre Frost serves modern French food using quality French and Welsh ingredients. For the Gout de France event the menu includes foie gras, scallops, veal, grand marnier soufflé and a cheese tasting plate. £65 per person

Raymond Blanc’s signature restaurant in Oxfordshire is serving up an indulgent menu for Good France event including salt cod brandade, Turbot or veal, a selection of French cheeses and a chocolate marquise dessert followed by coffee and petit fours. £190 per person

Brasserie Toulouse Lautrec, London

In Kennington in London this brasserie and wine bar pays tribute to one of France’s most flamboyant artists Toulouse Lautrec. The kitchen is run by brothers Florent and Oliver Regent who are serving up a traditional menu of foie gras terrine, duck breast, French cheeseboard and tarte Tatin for the Gout de France. £49 per person

The Clarendon Hotel, Hebden

The restaurant at the 18th-century inn is run by French chef Lionel Strub who serves up modern French cuisine to customers in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. For the Goût de France he will be serving duck rillette with foie gras, assiette of lamb, sole fillet, cheeses from Alsace and a chocolate dessert, accompanied by wines from Alsace. £30 per person

This training restaurant lets students serve delicious food to customers during themed meals. For the Good France event, Michael Coaker and Nathan Vasanthan will be serving a goat’s cheese terrine, a fruits de mer stew, Basque-style chicken, tarte aux pommes and a cheese platter, wine is also included. £50 per person

Located in the heart of Soho, L’Escargot is one of the oldest French restaurants in London and is famous for its fine French food. For the Goût de France, head chef James Tyrrell will be serving volt-au-vent of snails and truffles, fillet of Turbot, Tournedos Rossini and pear tarte. £75 per person including wine

Rivea London

Launched by Alain Ducasse who took his love for French and Italian food and put it into one place, this restaurant is in the hands of chef Alexandre Nicolas who will be serving a menu which includes truffle soup, Dover sole and a chocolate and praline dessert. £65 per person

The Escoffier, Bournemouth and Poole College

The Escoffier Restaurant provides a unique dining experience located within Bournemouth and Poole College. For Goût de France, chef Mark Alderman will be serving a rustic menu featuring terrine, carré d’agneau, lemon sole and a soufflé. £24.95 per person
