Details:

La Baysse is a large 18th-century stone farmhouse with three holiday houses (gites) accommodating up to 14 persons collectively in spacious surroundings.

Each house has 2 double bedrooms with large en-suite facilities. Our Lauragais home accommodates 4 people while Pechaudier and St Felix both accommodate 4 to 5 people each. All properties are fully equipped and we guarantee our guests comfort and quality. Air Conditioning is available at a small charge. We can also offer party bookings for up to 3 homes per booking. Wi-Fi is available and all of our accommodation is strictly non- smoking.

The houses enjoy a sunny south-facing position with views of our five majestic plane trees in one direction and the colourful garden, superb pool area and fields in the other.

A high-tech acoustic floor separates the ground and 1st floors and guarantees quietness. There is also sound-proofing on internal walls.

The Ground Floors:

The kitchen, dining and lounge areas are of an open-plan design, with leather settees and relaxing recliners, and the Ikea colourful kitchens all have stainless steel anti-stain double-bowled sink units along with all the necessary equipment, including, a dishwasher, gas oven/cooker, microwave, large fridge/freezer, toaster, coffee machine & kettle, even cling film/foil and cleaning supplies.

The Bedrooms:

Each one of the three houses has two spacious double bedrooms, each with its own en-suite facilities consisting of a large shower, vanity unit and WC. There are also electric wall heaters, as well as ample power points and even British extension leads for charging devices such as phones, i-pods, and laptops.

Other amenities include a CD/radio player, and iron and ironing board, hair dryers and a washing machine is also available for use during your stay. All linen and towels are supplied.

The Outdoors:

The exterior of each house is divided by colourful ironwork and potted shrubs, designating your own private area.

Outdoor furniture is provided for you to dine al fresco and experience the fabulous sunsets of outdoor living.

There is ample private parking, and entry to and exit from the property via a coded electric gate and video phone.

We welcome older children, aged around 10 and older, and can offer them 4 acres to play in. For children we offer garden swings, board games, darts and a heated pool. We regret that we do not accept pets.

The houses are suitable for families, couples, family-groups, special occasions and those of a mature nature who enjoy the good things in life.

Guests are welcomed to the houses with a well-stocked goody pack featuring bread, salad, milk, home-made jam, butter, eggs and, of course, wine!

Our ‘Hello Evenings’ are very memorable, allowing you to sit back and enjoy a little piece of our paradise while we cook for you. It’s a great way for us to get to know our fellow guests.

The Pool:

Our super swimming pool is shared with guests. It has a colourful, fully paved surround of 100 sq metres. The exact dimensions are 11x 4.10 x 1.50 metres and there are Roman steps at one end and the pool is heated [when necessary] and alarmed according to current French legislation. The pool is salt based & PH/chlorine electronically regulated.

Relax on a sun lounger, take a poolside shower, sit under the shade of a tree, read a book or have a nap. Taking in the splendid views across the fields to ‘Hares Hollow’ or glimpse the many colours of the trees on ‘La Montagne Noire’.

The lush, colourful planting in the garden and pool area will aid your relaxation.

We are just 25 minutes from the Canal du Midi while Toulouse is 50 minutes away. If you’re a beach fan, then we are just 90 minutes from the Mediterranean coast.

We are lucky to be situated in such beautiful countryside where we enjoy all sorts of outdoor pursuits, You can visit Lac st. Ferréol, a great lake with beaches and pine trees. You can also go sailing, fishing, windsurfing, swimming and walking here, just a stone’s throw from our home.

Arriving in our region is quite easy. We are located 65 minutes away from Toulouse-Blagnac airport while Carcassonne Salvaza is 45 minutes away.

We are just 45 minutes away from the A62 autoroute or the D6113. It is a good day’s journey (including breaks) from the various channel ports, including St Malo, Caen, Cherbourg and Calais.

You can also arrive by TGV; Toulouse train station is only 1 hour away from us.
