Hubby or BF doesn’t want to travel this month, but you are getting cabin fever big time? Why not pop over to Paris with the gals? Paris is perfect for a ladies week or weekend, after all beauty is what Paris is all about. Et voil below you’ll find some selections for planning the perfect girlfriends’ weekend.

Where to stay? Every Francophile fille no matter what her purse holds can find a charming hotel in the city of light.

Pretty in Pink; the terribly trendy Murano hotel (pictured below) is right smack dab in the middle of the hottest area in Paris, between the Marais and the 11th arrondissement. You’ll be steps away from two famous bar hopping streets and around the corner from one of our favorite shopping rues in Paris, rue Charlot. Beginning at 220 euros a night.

Luxury for a Queen; Hotel Lancaster offers discreet luxury with quiet charm and style yet its steps away from the Champs-Elyses. Rates start at 330 euros.

Babe on a budget; Hotel Eiffel Seine is a delightful boutique hotel just five minutes from the Eiffel Tower, the Branly Museum and the Seine.  Starting at only 135 euros a night.

Artsy Chic; Hotel Particulier Montmartre offers five spectacular rooms, each designed separately by a talented interior designer/artist, in the hills of Montmartre. This is a truly special and unique place to stay beginning at 390 euros.

Shopping: Is it possible to come to Paris and not shop? Yes, but what a ridiculous idea! Head over to the Marais for a shop-till-you-drop afternoon. We love the Haut-Maris, or upper Marais, for more unique, one-of-a-kind boutiques. Rue Charlot is choc full of them including Koko at #75, Valentine Gauthier at 58 & Gaspard Yurkievich at #43. Download our walk & shop the Marais e-walking tour to make it simple.

Spas & Hammams: After walking around all day, you’ll need some way to relax those exhausted legs and feet. Hammams or Turkish baths are all the rage in Paris. Book a steam and a scrub at the O’Kari Hammam just for women or the original, Le Mosque de Paris. Links here.

Culture: Deciding which museum is difficult, when you’ve only got a weekend. But in general the Pompidou, the Rodin and L’Orangerie are our faves. Do consult the Paris tourist bureau site before you go to see which shows are the most promising.

Classes: Why not take a French cooking class with your pals in Paris? Cook’n with Class in Montmartre is one of the capitals most rewarding and popular activities. Plus, you get to eat what you make!

Dining: Picking which place to smack down your dining euros can be stressful, but we suggest frequenting some of the cities’ new gastro-bistro grub, with young eager chefs at the helm. Some of our favorites here.

Remember what happens in Paris…stays in your heart forever!
