What’s on in March 2023?

Spring is almost here, and as off-season flights are cheaper and crowds smaller in popular tourist attractions – this might be the best time for you to explore France. Here are some events you can look forward to this month…

 

Fest’Oie Goose Festival in Dordogne

The goose takes centre stage in Sarlat, capital of the Périgord Noir, for this joyful festival with marching bands, gourmet food and unique  entertainment. Children can enjoy activities with the goose tamer, you can try your hand at goose plume calligraphy and stock up with local products in the goose farmers’ market.

4th-5th March

Les Printemps des Poètes

The annual Spring of Poets is a celebration of poetry in France – each edition focuses on a particular subject, with 2023’s theme being ‘borders’. It coincides with #WorldPoetryDay which is on the 21st March.

11th-27th March

Rock the Pistes

With Morzine as this year’s host, the 11th edition of the high-altitude rockfest will feature five live concerts and over 30 après-ski concerts in multiple resorts attracting music fans from across Europe. Festival-goers can literally ski from one performance to the next, with free entry to the concerts for lift pass holders.
