French tax deadline approaches

Brits who make an income from second homes in France must file their French income tax returns this month

For Brits who make an income from their holiday homes in France, the filing deadline for 2009 French income tax returns is 30 June.

Filing the tax forms is a legal obligation, and taxable income is calculated as three times the annual rental value of the property. Failure to meet the deadline could result in penalties.
