Euroferries link Ramsgate to Boulogne

Euroferries has announced that it is to commence services between Ramsgate and Boulogne in August.

In an official statement, the company said it would use its fast ferry, the Bonanza Express, to offer five crossings a day using an Incat 96m with a capacity of 146 first class and 570 additional passengers, carrying a combination of cars and luxury coaches. There are no details of prices on the Euroferries’ website, but the company is highlighting its commuter coach service between London’s Stratford Hub and Ramsgate serving Canterbury and the Medway towns.

It also says that a second vessel will join the Bonanza Express in the future enabling it to increase passenger capacity.

Whether Euroferries will be able to challenge the long-established ferry companies that operate between Dover and Calais as well as turbulent fuel prices, will remain to be seen.
