A new look for FRANCE Magazine

FRANCE Magazine is having a revamp and will soon feature a new column from Sir Terry Wogan

We’re delighted that Sir Terry Wogan will be writing a new bi-monthly column for FRANCE Magazine from the October issue onwards. Sir Terry, who owns a holiday home in Gers, has long been a Francophile and will be writing about what he loves about rural France. In a recent interview with the magazine, he said about his corner of south-west France: “It’s the peace and tranquillity that are really lovely – it must be the quietest place in Europe.”

In his first column, Terry describes he favourite local snail festival, writing ‘I’ve got the Escargolade to look forward to: I’ve been before,in a little village that boasts a few houses, a church, and a village hall that will be heaving on the great day with snail-lovers… Last time, it must have been curtains for at least twenty thousand snails!’

The column comes as part of several additions to the magazine, including a fresh new look with new articles, sections and columnists. We’ll be covering even more destinations in every issue, with even more useful information to help you plan your trips away. There will be lots more recommendations for hotels, B&Bs, and campsites, as well as where to find the best restaurants and cafes. All together, it’s the perfect monthly dose of all things French.
