Apartments in five brand new ski property developments nearing completion in the French Alps will be ready for occupation just before Christmas, it was announced this week.

Although leading French Alpine developer MGM has already sold most of the properties off-plan, there are still a few apartments available to buy on a leaseback basis in Tignes, Les Carroz d’Araches, Samoens and Serre Chevalier. Also in Samoens are apartments for outright purchase.

Around one hour by road from Geneva Airport, making them four hours door-to-door’ from London, Les Carroz and Samoens are located within the Grand Massif, the third biggest ski area in the French Alps and home to some of the region’s most scenic and traditional villages. While offering great skiing for families as well as experienced skiers, both Les Carroz and Samoens also provide opportunities to live all year round in established communities.

Meanwhile the finishing touches also are being put to the final phase of the MGM residence de tourisme Le Hameau du Rocher Blanc in Serre Chevalier in the Southern Alps and Le Telemark, a residence de tourisme at Tignes Le Lac.

Nearing completion is Le Telemark, pictured above, which is close to ski lifts giving direct access to the 300 km of slopes within Espace Killy, one of the most snow-sure skiing areas in the French Alps.

Prices of the new properties currently available in these new developments start at €235,000 for a two-bedroom apartment. For more details call MGM on 0207 4940706, email [email protected] or visit www.mgm-constructeur.com

Les Carroz d’Araches

Les Chalets de Jouvence comprises 35 apartments and four-star facilities including an indoor pool, fitness suite and beauty centre.

Samoens

Said to be an archetypal French Alpine village,’ its focus is on a central square with a church, fountain and old market building.

La Reine des Prs in Samoens is a four-star residence de tourisme with 84 apartments for sale. It is located just 80 metres from a gondola linking the village with the 265 km of pistes of the Grand Massif.

Also in Samoens is Les Ecrins Etoils comprising 65 apartments for outright purchase within walking distance of village shops, cafs and restaurants.

Serre Chevalier

MGM’s new development is at Chantemerle 1350, one of the six villages which make up the Serre Chevalier ski resort in the Southern Alps where property prices are only three-quarters of those for comparable properties in the Northern Alps.

Easy access to some of Europe’s best ski slopes and the Mediterranean coast – a three-hour drive away – are among reasons for the region’s popularity.

The final phase of MGM’s residence de tourisme Le Hameau du Rocher Blanc comprises just 27 apartments only 50 metres from the ski slopes.

Tignes Le Lac

Located close to the residence de tourisme of Le Telemark are ski lifts giving direct access to the 300 km of slopes within Espace Killy, one of the best-known, highest and most snow-sure skiing areas in the French Alps.
