From director Frank Mannion, Sparkling: The Story of Champagne is a new documentary shedding light on one of the world’s most legendary tipples. Visit some of the region’s famous landmarks, such as the Avenue de Champagne in Épernay, and get to know the people behind some of the drink’s top producers, such as Vitalie Taittinger of the eponymous champagne house and Laurent d’Harcourt of Pol Roger. FRANCE Magazine’s July 2021 issue sees writer Pierre de Villiers visit Frank in France for a behind-the-scenes visit to the area’s historic vineyards.

This competition is open to all those in the UK and Ireland who send proof of payment for Sparkling: The Story of Champagne (the film) during its release in the UK and Ireland (cinema stub, online payment etc) attaching a genuine cinema ticket or proof of payment through a valid receipt from a VOD provider or a valid receipt for payment of a DVD of the film. Entries are eligible between May 1 in the UK and must be received no later than 15 August, 2021. Applicants must provide their name, address and contact telephone number. The receipt must be emailed to No employees of Swipe Films or Cine Lumiere (or any of its subsidiaries) are eligible.

All applicants will be entered in a draw and a winner will be chosen at random. Winners shall be contacted by email and/or mobile phone.

We shall disqualify any entries which, in our reasonable opinion, appear to have used any of these entry methods including multiple entries from the same IP address or telephone number.

Should the Promoter be unable to contact a winner within 1 day of the closing date, or if a winner is unable to accept the prize, the Promoter reserves the right to award the prize to an alternative winner, drawn in accordance with these terms and conditions.

All entrants to competitions and offers are deemed to have accepted these rules and agree to be bound by them, and agree to co-operate in any publicity that may arise which may include their name or image being used on websites, magazines, social media or mobile services at any time as a result of the competition.

We reserve the right to disqualify or not award a prize to an entrant who in our opinion has not entered in to the spirit of these terms and conditions or the intention of the competition.

The decision of the judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
