My Parisian Life blog My Parisian Life blog

Paris travel blog: My Parisian Life

There are so many blogs about Paris that it can be difficult to know where to start! One of our favourites is the beautiful My Parisian Life, written by an American (Yanique) who has relocated to Paris. The blog is aimed at other Parisians but it is also great if you are visiting the city and want to try the bars, restaurants and cafes that the locals love. Also read the monthly posts on the best things to do each month to find out what’s happening when you visit.

Lost in Cheeseland blog Lost in Cheeseland blog

Paris travel blog: Lost in Cheeseland

Another of our favourite Paris blogs is Lost in Cheeseland written by Lindsay, an American food and travel writer living in Paris. She has lived in Paris for 10 years and shares the cafes, restaurants, attractions and places she has discovered during that time. If you want to expore Paris away from the tourist hotspots then Lost in Cheeseland is a great place to start.

Paris through my Lens blog Paris through my Lens blog

Photo blog: Paris Through My Lens

If you love Paris as much as us then you will love the photo blog Paris Through My Lens. American photographer Virginia Jones first visited Paris in 2007 and fell in love with the city and since then she has returned 9 times. She shares a photo of Paris every day, but don’t expect to see endless photos of the Eiffel Tower and the Notre-Dame. Rather Virginia focuses on the little details of the city like a café table or patisserie window and gives you an intimate look at Paris.

Loire Daily Photo blog Loire Daily Photo blog

Photo blog: Loire Daily Photo

The Loire Valley is one of the most beautiful areas of France and you can see a different side to it on the photo blog Loire Daily Photo, run by Australian Rosemary Kneipp. As the name suggests, a new photo of the Loire Valley, especially the area around Blois which is where Rosemary lives, is posted every day but rather than the grand Renaissance châteaux of Villandry and Chenonceau you’ll see the hidden corners of the valley through the eyes of a local.

French markets: Marjorie R. Williams

For us, one of the best things about visiting France is definitely discovering a local market and buying as many French treats as you can fit into your suitcase.
