Last month they were doing something similar except it was £19 each way.

The problem for me is that you have to start in Dover and if I did it, I would want to start in Calais.

My Bro-in-Law is taking a trip next week for a week or so and he got a crossing on Norfolk Line for £24 return!  OK he travels at some ridiculous times but the fares are there.

Funny enough, I received last  month's Seafrance offer on the day that they were having a Hissy fit and blockading Calais again.  It didn't fill me with confidence even if I could have used the offer.

In the case of Seafrance I think I would rather pay on the day, in case I never got to see France or my money again

I have never travelled with SeaFrance so have no experience of their reliability. But you are risking £40 instead of forking out perhaps several times that sum for paying on the day at peak times. Seems a pretty good deal to me.
