We would scare each other, dare each other, go where we weren't allowed to go... However, we lived on the outskirts of town, the parents all knew us and each other and we were not a gang, we did not damage property, smoke, drink or abuse passers-by... A few of my childhood friends have taken a wrong turn. One killed herself, another started taking drugs and turned to prostitution, another was sentenced to 20 years for murder...
