I bought a house in France over a year ago. I have noticed damp appearing above the cladding in a bathroom. On removing the cladding I found that the plasterboard was wet and mouldy, due to the fact it had been allowed to contact the non-damp proofed floor. A piece of the plasterboard had been replaced but the cladding had been used to hide the problem. Do I have any re-dress against the seller or is it buyer beware.
