merle bléssé Help!

Frenchie 08/05/2008, 9:28

We have found a blackbird in our garden, that can't fly any longer.. What can I do ??

If we catch him, how can we feed him? is there any chance he can recover ?

The two options that spring to mind are

1) leave it alone and nature will take its course, for good or bad

2) If it shows signs of distress, get a heavy implement (garden spade for example) and despatch it quickly .

Sorry, that probably wasn't the answer you wanted Sad [:(]

It s right I was execting another answer.....   Can't do that... he s in the neighbour's garden now, I can't have access to him now, unless he comes back to our garden....

Just hope no cat will find him...

Hi Frenchie
If you want to feed him, cat food is what the vet recommends.
Otherwise, there is a vet's practice in Challonnes sur la Loire where they take in injured birds.
Let me know if you would like more details.

What a lovely post ! Thanks//

The neighbour, a lovely old woman in her 80s, has taken him, put him in a box, I have not seen her today, will ask about the bird tomorrow !

Merci !
