Le Camion Qui Fume

The pioneering Camion Qui Fume was the first food truck on the streets of Paris to sell quality burgers. The company is run by Kristin Frederick, an American chef who studied at L’École Supérieure de Cuisine Française Ferrandi in Paris. With her team of cooks she serves six varieties of home-made burger and a ‘burger of the day’. The fries are also homemade. The burgers have won the Palme de la Restauration and the Fooding d’honneur awards.

La Brigade

This Paris-based food truck offers a brasserie-style cuisine of beef, duck, chicken and salmon, all cut in slices and served with frites and salad, and a sauce of your choice, from traditional cheese to exotic orange caramel. The meal comes in a cardboard container with bamboo tongs. A vegetarian option is also available, as are desserts and coffee. La Brigade has won an award from the French TV show Très très bien.

Ô Diamant Noir

The esteemed truffle or ‘black diamond’ is the special feature of this food truck from Aix-en-Provence and is served in either salty or sugary flavours. Dishes include black truffle brouillade, duck confit parmentier, and Brie de Meaux with truffles, along with vegetables and salads. There are eat-in and delivery options along with the takeaway.

El Taco Del Diablo

On board a salsa coloured 1970s Volkswagen van, Philippe and Virginie Saint-Jeannet bring a wide choice of Mexican food to the streets of Bordeaux and its suburbs. Bowls of chilli, tacos, burritos, quesadillas, shrimp salad and marinated fish, guacamole and tortilla chips are all home-made and served with fresh salads. Recommended by Le Petit Futé and Le Fooding 2015.
