Archant

Can you hear the crickets? The splashes from children jumping into a pool or a river? The tell-tale pop of a bottle of rosé being uncorked? Summer is here in France and so are the holidays! Take a look at how beautiful French summers look.

Where to start? How about where we’d love to spend our summer; in the stunning Calanques national park near Cassis (pictured).

Summer in France means beautiful seasonal produce, such as sun-gorged tomatoes, hitting the market stalls. Perfect time for some summer recipes!

It’s harvest season too, so you’ll spot plenty of tractors and combine-harvesters working away. Some farmers prefer to work at night to avoid the heat, leading to eerie sights of spots of light in the fields as you drive by in the darkness.

Time to eat outdoors!
