The sun is shining and the flowers are blooming, spring has sprung in France! Take a look at how stunning France is in the spring
You know spring has arrived when tulips start popping up in the public parks and gardens, like here in Paris.
And here in Alpes-de-Haute-Provence.
Or when the blossoms appear in the trees like these ones in front of the Eiffel Tower.
It’s also time to go en terrasse again and enjoy an apéritif outside!
Beach days are getting closer...
...markets more colourful...
...and sunsets more spectacular – such as this one on the Promenade des Anglais in Nice.
Just look at the blossom in Paris!
And the colourful flowers in Chablis...
The good weather means it’s time to get active outdoors again. Why not take a cycle ride?
Or a hike along the French coast?
A few flowers can completely transform somewhere like this ancient castle in Senlis in Picardy.
And sunshine just makes everyone feel better whether you're stocking up on fruit and veg at the local market...
...or soaking up the sun in the gorgeous Luxembourg gardens in Paris.
French canals open in spring after closing for the winter – the perfect opportunity for a punt on the water or a stroll on the riverbanks.
Speaking of which, the banks of the Rhône in Lyon look particularly charming in the sunshine.
The mountains shed their winter coats as the last patches of snow melt to reveal a stunning landscape.
The countryside comes back to life after winter hibernation.
And parks become a great place to sit for an hour.
Once again, how glorious are these blossoms by the Seine?
