Hi
It might be you have the same problem as us. We use a Neuf box. It seems that when the calls have to go thought a "live box" there is a problem. It could be your line is not good enoght. What speed broadband do you get? If only 512 then i think, that might be the problem, and i think your stuck with it.
Sorry
nich
I am sorry I didn't explain myself well. My Live Box broke, so I had it replaced, and took up the option to have some free calls every month for a extra 10 euros. My internet works, but not my phone. Today is makes no noise. I think it has been connected incorrectly here as at the moment it is just like it was before. I have so many wires, I have got in a stress, so now I don't know what to do. Thank you
Mooky.
there is lots of info about how to set up your livebox on this site and again on this page
I am presuming that your phone is plugged in to the livebox and that all the cables are in the right place. You can access all the livebox settings (including the telephone) by clicking on this link http://192.168.1.1/
if you are asked for a login name and password, try admin and admin
click on the menu "mes services" then "Téléphonie par ADSL" and then make sure it says "activé". If not click on the "acceder" button to change the settings
after you have changed any setting you will need to find "sauver" or "sauvegarge" to keep the settings.
If the telephone still doesn't work there must be another problem
It is a bit strange that you say you "took up the option to have some free calls every month for a extra 10 euros". I am sure that this is only for free calls to France. If you want the free calls to Europe,USA etc etc you must pay an extra 7 euros pm. Maybe this has something to do with it...
hope this is of use
Danny
Mooky,
see also this page on the Orange website which fits your circumstances...
and also this page which seems very pertinent from the descriptions you have given so far
