25/03/2006, 13:02 Mishtoon Joined on 18/11/2004 South West France Posts 48 Children's Car Seats Hi, Does anyone know what the law in France is with regard to children and car seats.  I am wondering up to what age a child must be in a car seat and if there is any rule as to the type of car seat.  Can children go in a booster seat, for example, when they reach a certain age?  I presume that all children must be in the back of the car.  We have our children in booster seats (age 5 and 6) but a french person recently told me that a booster seat is not permitted.
