Strange phenomenum.
Around here, there seems to have been a simultaneous loss of (a) TV coverage at 21.00 last night and (b) any memory that France was playing England.
Funny that, eh?

The fireworks celebrating 10 years of the Stade de France I believe were also planned with a French win in mind. That must have been really disappointing for the French. (oh dear)
P.S. BRAVO LES ANGLAIS! you did us proud![Big Smile [:D]](/cs/images/emotions/biggrin.gif)

That "knockon" this is what Jeremy Guscott has to say.....
"The fact that Noon’s arm knocked the ball on was not relevant,
because no referee or touch judge can be expected to pick something up
like that in real time. The England centre’s bravery in going up so
hard and fast on a player with Heymans’s pace paid off in full because
there are few better finishers in the international game than Paul
Sackey."

I'm happy to agree with Guscott. And glad the ref didn't see it differently.

It would have been very cruel if it had been declared (quite correctly it must be said) as a knockon. That tackle was immense and worthy of the try. No ifs buts or ands - period

Yes Ulster, I saw that - it's tough. Always sad when any young person has health problems.

That is a shame for him, and for Ireland. But rugby is a game that can wreck you physically. I have an uncle who played professionally and in his old age he could hardly walk. He sort of wobbled from his knees, which bent under him. How is Bill Beaumont these days? He had to retire on health grounds.

Aye - sadly this is the down side of the beautiful game. But it doesnt take away the loss of Simon Best for us.
Anyway - the 6N's is wide open and I feel a few more (rubbish - a load more) Guinness coming on and some great rugby (despite what I might have felt pre the 1st games).
Oh - and another wee win for the Glaws - Falcons dispensed with.
