FAQ - lost french driving licence
Feel a bit stupid,
Just got a brand new french driving licence and went to get a photo copy of it done, found out three days later that I'd left it in the machine at the supermarket and surprise surprise its not there now and nobody knows anything about it.
Whats the procedure for getting a new one, back to the prefecture with photos again and another cheque ??, do I have to report it lost to the gendarmes ???

regards.
JP

gives details of the procedure; you need to report it lost as a matter of urgency, the document the gendarmes will give you will replace the permis for two months and is essential to the application for its replacement.
