I found these on the Vire website (many more are there)- not all 'county show' type things, but sound interesting. 17/07/2008, 17:20 paradis Joined on 01/02/2006 Posts 22 Re: County Shows in Normandie? The Fete de la Chasse et de la Peche at Carrouges is well worth a visit. It is held on 1,2 & 3 August. Sat & Sun are the best days to go.  Entrance is 9 euros which includes a visit to the chateau.  Lots to see and not very commercialised as many shows are in UK.  Normal Normandy buffet available and is good value.  Open air restaurant type meals also available but I think you have to book.  Details should be available from Tourist Office in Bagnoles, tel 0233378566 where they usually have someone on duty who speaks English.  Hope you enjoy yourselves.     Report
