Fantastic stuff, Mr Zjob. I love the look of the spalted timber. But as you say, can be nasty.
What finish do you use ? It looks very light.

Do you do your own pyrography?

Why thank you Dick.

The outside is polished with a Liberon hard wax stick with canuba (?) wax in it and the inside with Danish oil that the lovely Pads very kindly bought over for me.

Yes I do the pyro too, but I must admit that as far as the art work is concerned I cheat. I sort out what I want to use and get it to the size I want using Windowz 2000 Publisher then print out the result. That is then copied onto the piece using black carbon paper (blue leaves marks that are difficult to remove) and pyrograph the print or picture from there. Gud-ere-init Big Smile [:D]...

I use a wire pen, not a solid tip as it's very much easier to control the temp of the burn.
