It is quite a new thing over here in UK Tress.  My daughter has only seriously been talking about it for around 3 years.  I often see young girls ruffling amongst the frocks in shops talking about proms.  The immigrant in the attic    Report

My nephew went to his prom in Wales complete with Paul Jones tuxedo and stretch limo to take them to the venue.  Naff!  This is coming from someone who's dream is one day to attend the Oscars    Report
