What do the purple blobs mean?

Someone will probably give you a definitive answer Monika, but I assume that they designate areas that are considered to be innappropriate for overhead lines.

edit. They are listed as zone sensible etendu (accent missing here) which I translate roughly as 'sensitive area', sensitive for what reason I cannot tell other than possibly towns / more heavily populated areas.

Steve - there is a long discussion of the power lines, and links to French sites, here.

Are you affected? They seem likely to miss us, but may well be visible across a rather nice valley, as they seem to be taking the ridge line.

Looking at the map on the OP, I figure we will certainly see the lines in the distance as they cross the 84 east of Margueray. Apart from that they are not going to affect us on the Percy side of Le Chefresne.

Steve I hear of lots of activity around Villebaudon and now perhaps EDF and going underground with the cables.  Then to Montabot where things almost got out of hand last Monday night with EDF being present!

Steve looking from Chefresne towards the FT tower on the Mont Robin hillside are the lines do you think going to the rear of the hill and past the dechetterie? or going towards Montabot then crossing from there?

rdgs

Where are you know Chefresne or UK or still in the Gulf?
