Like so many towns east and west of there. Apart from the market, there is a fortress and that is it. Do not try to teach a pig to sing. It wastes your time and annoys the pig.    Report

And do you know what Parthenay is like?  Only saw it from a distance.  In those days, we were househunting and had appointments all over the place and didn't realise what a vast country France was!
