Is this available in France?  If so, doesn't anybody know what it's called here .... and is it a reasonable price (I can buy a massive tub for about 4p in the UK Stick out tongue [:P] )

My wife uses it also. To date we have been importing it, the unit cost is peanuts but the carriage, because of the weight is very expensive. At her last meeting with the doctor, he told her he had not heard of Aqueous cream but felt that LIPIKAR seemed to do the same job.

There are quite a few alternatives, but they'll be much more expensive in France.
Try searching google.fr for crème émolliente or crème surgrasse.

PS: I use Nivea crème.

There is apparently a product called Dexeryl, that is like E45 cream but a little less greasy.

Hello, my son has quite bad eczema especially in the warm weather and, if dry skin is an issue for you, perhaps it may be worth trying a cream we found on our first holiday to France and now use all the time.  It is made by A Derma, readily available in any of the larger pharmacies and is around E10 for a large tube.  It also has Avoine Rhealba on the box.  The box with green writing on is great for moisturisers and bath creams while the blue box in the 'dermalibour' range is for irritated/seepy eczema.  Hope thats not too much info and is of some use.

Kai our daughter had eczema as a baby and sometmes still gets a bit of dry skin.

We  recommend  the following and it has had great success with ourselves and friends in the UK.

For the bath and as a wash  A-Derma Avoine Rhealba its a Gel Moussant

For the skin Sedagel by La Roche- Posay - A soothing Gel.

Shop around as prices vary, excellent products.

I have used aqueous cream for years as a hand cream - by far the cheapest and best. I have never found anything that is quite the same here in France.
