You could start by talking to the French Chamber of Commerce in London, even joining, as when I lived there they held a number of open evenings for new members to meet others. When in Paris, you could also talk to the Paris chamber of commerce, where all companies have to register. But note that many high tech companies are likely to be located in the suburbs and satellite towns around Paris, so it may mean dealing with a number of chambers of commerce in each area. That said, where I live in the south, I have found the local chambers helpful in providing lists of all registered companies (eg for mail shots), and talking of the south you could look at the 'science parks' around such places as Montpellier and the Cote d'Azur. High tech researchers tend to work in locations that offer sun, sea and palm trees, as their work is not location dependant. Good luck.

Hello Eli
Another option would be to pick up the FUSAC. This is a free magazine which can be taken from many cafes or English/Irish bars. There are many jobs advertised within where companies require mother tongue English speakers although some French is usually a further a requirement.
What about accomodation? There are also many advertisements for flats and flatshares. If you google, you should also find some online announcements. That is where I found my apartment.
Good Luck
