16/05/2008, 12:05 Cathy Joined on 07/03/2006 Mostly near Bordeaux; Sometimes near Bristol Posts 1,857 Re: Pretty Google Oh I was a bit disappinted with it, Sweet.  In 1978 or 1979, Oxford Street decided to dispense with the usual Christmas lights and have laser beams (new technology then).  What a disappoitment it was - just three or four light beams.  I was underwhelmed.  But I couldn't have been the only one as all the shoppers went off to Regent Street with its magnificant annual traditional display.
