How can you be scared of them they are just lizards with out legs ??? I love to catch a rare view of them, I have a whole family in the corner of my garden which i have left wild so they dont get caught in the lawn mower or strimmer , but this young lady had come much further than I have seen them before,

It's their breeding time which often makes them more visible and the males dangerous to each other.

Do you know why the females seem to be out more often than the males , I rarley see a male?

You've got me there, no idea why that should be Pads, interesting though, I'll have to ask around and see if it's a common factor.

Saw the first snake of the season yesterday - quite a long couleuvre disturbed from a field by the silage makers I think. The sky was full of buzzards; looking for easy pickings I suppose.

Females are brown males are a silver grey or thats what I have always believed, dont know where I got that from though Blink [blink]

Im sure Chris will be able to tell us the right way to sex them
