Rental agreements ?
Reply Quote
Hi all..

I've done a bit of a search, but I'm wondering on how others out there arrange and source a good rental agreement for holiday lets in France?

I shall be renting out soon (often to people from outside of France & the UK) and am looking for some way to prepare an easy contract.. Is there a good 'form' people use? Is it valid in France? Do people sign this before getting keys or is there an emailable way of doing this in a valid way? (I shall be in the UK during the rentals)

I'd be interested to hear how you do this...

Many thanks

Try googling for "sample rental contract" and "contrat location vacances" for a French version.
Look at what other owners do by looking at their online T&C.

Speaking personally, I attach a contract and T&C to all replies to enquiries. The property is reserved on receipt of the deposit but the contract becomes final only on receipt of the balance, 8 weeks prior to the arrival date.
Security deposit in cash on arrival, refundable on departure, but that's because I am on site.
