Prise en charge a 100% pour affection de longue duree?
Reply Quote

My hubby  was diagnosed with diabetes six months ago.  He has now received a letter informing him of the "100% pour affection de longue duree".  What exactly does this mean in layman's terms?  Does this affect our top up at all?  This subject may have been covered before.

Yes it has.....Wink [;-)]

In simple terms, he will be 100% covered for all treatment relating to that specific medical condition, but will be remain subject to the normal tariffs for any other condition.  On that basis, a top up is still recommended.

Some top up insurers offer ALD people a discount on their premium because they don't have to cover that particular illness.
