06/05/2008, 21:43 Cathy Joined on 07/03/2006 Mostly near Bordeaux; Sometimes near Bristol Posts 1,688 Bordeaux tram stike My daughter has sent me a text from her (French) boarding school, asking if the trains are on strike tomorrow (Wednesday 7th) because she is coming home.  Presumably she must have heard a rumour. It's too late to watch the TV news.  Does anyone know the answer?     Cathy ----- Your children won't remember you ironing their pyjamas but they will remember you reading them a bedside story.    Report

Cendrillon - I was looking at trains on Saturday and was diverted from Bordeaux to Libourne.  I didn't twig why until I read your post, even though I was the original poster. Clair's website says (I think) that all will be back to normal today (11th).  But the lunchtime radio news was suggesting otherwise. I have the impression that all will be back to normal on Tuesday and that they are still working on Monday which of course is a bank holiday in France.   Brilliant website Clair, I have bookmarked it.
