Using protect-a-pool fencing
Reply Quote

Hi Everyone

We are looking to install a fence around our pool and have found a reasonably priced version at Gedimat called Protect-a Pool which is a lightweight type of fence.  Has anyone used this product and how effective, easy to install is it?  We were wondering if you are able to install it into the ground with the use of dirt spikes or whether you have to concrete the posts in.  Any help would be much appreciated. Perhaps there is another product which is an alternative - we are on a very strict budget!  Thanks.

try http://www.encloture.com/eng_site/gallery_pools.html

They do have grass fixings but they advise to use a concrete bed every 4 posts

Hi Chris

Many thanks for the info.  We have just been given a quote for the encloture system.  Does it look ok?  It looks fine on all their pics but we have not been able to see a real 'live' version.  It also seems very easy to self assemble.  Thanks again for the help.

Yes it does look good and easy to install although you do need a jig to get the holes correct

I have sent a pm

If this fencing doesn't comply with the French safety rules then don't forget to make sure that you have and alarm or something else that does conform.

There is a load of info if you search 'pool security' One here for starters http://www.completefrance.com/cs/forums/997115/ShowPost.aspx
