Can anyone tell me if there are a list of french post codes I can refer to.

Do you mean the initial 2 numbers that identify the departments, like this http://www.nizas.com/departments/departments_files/map-maps.html
Or something to find the post code of a particular town, like this http://www.villes-francaises.fr/ or this http://www.indexa.fr/service/codes-postaux/
