I'm considering installing a Swim spa, I recently saw one at an agents in UKcanadianspacompany and I wonder if anyone has any knowledge or experience of them? do they attract any special conditions for security or taxation such as swimming pools do?
No tax or security laws as they are considered the same as an above ground pool or a spa. Temporary fixture.

We have been supplying spas and swim spas, hot tubs and saunas in France now for 4 years.
Be aware though that if they go below ground you may need to complete a déclaration préable – depends on your local Mairie. They will comply with safety rules though as they have an insulated lockable cover with them.

Thanks for that John, though I'm really looking for owners experiences, problems, running costs, foibles, etc, before going down that route, I have decided against a pool for reasons of cost, amount of use and maintenance.
We have a large spa and would not be without it, we did do a lot of research here in France and in the uk and it can be a mine field of quality issues. if you woul like to know more please feel free to e-mail or PM and I wil tell you wha we did.
