For above ground pools, swim spas and spas you do not need to consider additional taxes or security. If you put steps up to a swim spa though, you would need to think about that. Either make them removable or have some way of blocking access.
We have been supplying spas and swim spas, hot tubs and saunas in France now for 4 years.
Be aware though that if they go below ground you may need to complete a déclaration préable – depends on your local Mairie. They will comply with safety rules though as they have an insulated lockable cover with them.

We have a large spa and would not be without it, we did do a lot of research here in France and in the uk and it can be a mine field of quality issues. if you woul like to know more please feel free to e-mail or PM and I wil tell you wha we did.
