I am thinking of bringing over my UK registered caravan and registering it on the French system. I have been told that I need a carte grise. my question is this will I need to have a CT test.

A controle technique is not required for trailers.
However, if you do a forum search, you will find information about the other technical inspections required for importing a foreign caravan.
