Does any one living near us (la ferte bernard area 72)know of a good place to buy a log burner as we need to buy one for our new gite and are having problems in buying one.

There is a shop in Mortagne au Perche which specialises.  If they install it too, you get a tax rebate.  I'll try to find it for you.

EDIT : I can't find the place in the on-line Pages Jaunes which is maddening because I've been in the place a few times.  Grr.  If I'm down that way I'll have a look and let you know the name and address.

My plumber/electrician installed and sold us ours, but he's a mate and does not normally come out this far.  There is a Godin distributor in LM - see www.godin.fr

Alternatively, many of the big Bricos sell them, but if you install yourself, you cannot get the tax advantages.  Have you looked in ReseauPro down by the lake?

hello,Yes we have been in all the local stores but they have now removed fires to put in gardening we should have brought it in the winter but had a lot on and did not get around to buying one.we will keep looking but if you should pass the place you mentioned we would appreciate your help.
