I have never used walnuts but cant see why not, I have used hazelnuts, they were good , the nuts are more for the texture/ thickner than flavour, my hubby used peanut butter once with chilli and corriander and olive oil , he didnt tell me and it was delicous, if he had told me I might of not eaten it .....!!!
olives, garlic, dried toms and almonds is another I have done , almonds not quite as good as the others , but it was tasty.
I love to experiment with spaggetti sauces. another favorite is mushrooms garlic chilli all whisked up to a paste add cream (dont whisk) stir in and por over spagetti ![Big Smile [:D]](/cs/images/emotions/biggrin.gif)
My normal everyday sauce is just tomatoes, chilli and garlic , simple clean and healthy
Dirty Tom =^..^= Where ever I lay my paw thats my home
