Buying a small business
Reply Quote

Buying a small business in the UK seems easy enough.... Daltons weekly etc, but how do you go about buying an established business in France and one that serves the growing ex-pat market.

All pointers welcome

Cheers guys

Businesses are usually sold by Notaires and/or specialist estate agents. Try them? Or the local paper.

What are you looking for, and where?

Just like the UK /USA there are numerous resources both off and online ... here's one http://www.pic-inter.com/Recherche-par-Secteur.aspx
Here's another: http://www.transmission-entreprise.fr/
And here's another with a slant toward "touristy-type" or typical-stuff-Brits-Buy (sorry if that sounds prejudicial - but you know what I mean): http://www.commerces-a-vendre.com/fds/somm-fds.htm

Good luck.
