Anyone going to be running the Paris half marathon in a few days time?

Hi Ian

Were you running in the Paris half marathon yesterday or were you just visiting Paris? If you did run how did you get on?

It was a bit of both.  I ran the half-marathon ... it was perfect weather: cool but the rain held off.  The route isn't as prestigious as the marathon (in April) but all of Paris is beautiful.

The first half of the race was very congested (too many runners overestimating their speed and starting too far up the queue!) so I ran the second half quite a bit quicker (unusally).  All in all the organization was good and I'd recommend it as a good early spring half for people getting ready for their April marathons (Paris, London, Madrid, Rotterdam, Boston et al).

It was a good excuse to spend a week in Paris too - my wife and I had a fantastic time.  were you in Paris yourself? Running or thinking of running?
