Paris - hotel recommendations please

newbiee 01/02/2008, 8:41

I'm looking for a small, friendly, comfortable hotel in Paris for a mini-break.  About 40 rooms or less.

I'll be on a budget so just want something clean and comfy and reasonably priced.

If you have stayed in a nice hotel like this and would recommend it I'd love to hear about it.

Thanks  Smile [:)]

While staying at the Hotel St. Jaques in the Latin Quarter which I would recommend but probably not what you are looking for....we ambled across the river to near the Opera House and found a lovely hotel which I would stay in when visiting again....www.hotelchopin.fr

All I can say is fabulous and well worth the money.  You are just paying slightly more than your bog standard 2 star.

Hi... we stayed in Paris just before Christmas and stayed here

http://www.elysees-union.com/

the public areas were very nice and prices did include a pleasant breakfast... staff were very very helpful and our room was OK... perhaps a little tired but clean, warm and comfortable.  the best thing was the location... We were also restricted as we needed a room for three.

We spent ages looking for a hotel in the right location but in the end we spent so much time walking and using the underground that the location wasn't that important anyway

Good luck with your trip! Smile [:)]

Very fond of this one as well:

just round the corner from the wonderful rue Mouffetard street market and from upper-floor rooms at the front you can see over the rooftops to the towers of Notre Dame, about 5 mins walk away.
