I'm not sure about the rules and regulations, but I do know that loads of people, including me, have taken plants from the UK to France.
I think potatoes are banned though.

When we moved on 2002 plants were on board the lorry, removals people had no objection and they arrived ok.

Our daughter brought some fruit trees over a couple of years ago, I seem to remember something about "plant passports" but I may be absolutely and totally confused. (so what else is new?)

Go to the DEFRA website and you can see what you can and cannot bring over. Some plants are banned as they can carry such things as sudden oak decease. You are pretty much ok with most things but do take a look as you don't want them taken away just after you bought them.

Seed pots are not banned indeed I import Jersey Royals from St Helier. Its a pity this year that the frost hit them.
